Automotive industry has kept its high growth rate in the past month. In August, auto production and sales continued to maintain a rapid growth momentum year on year, and preferential purchase tax and other consumer policies continued to work. In August, the production and sales of automobiles were 2.395 million and 2.383 million, up 38.3% and 32.1% year on year respectively.

The year-on-year growth rate of production and sales in the first eight months returned to normal. From January to August, the production and sales of automobiles were 16.967 million and 16.86 million respectively, up 4.8% and 1.7% year on year respectively, the first double growth of production and sales since the second quarter.
